Chiang Mai Arcade Bus Terminal is located at a distance of 15 minutes by tuk tuk from the city. The bus terminal has recently got a new building that has a number of food joints such as McDonalds and Subway.

Buses end their journey at the Roi Et Bus Terminal, the main bus terminal of Roi Et province, located at the heart of Roi Et city. The bus station has an open shed with many ticket counters. It is frequented throughout the day by snack and refreshment vendors. The bus station is situated at the west of the town centre.

About Roi Et

Roi Et Province is based in the Northeastern Isaan region of Thailand. Roi Et town, the administrative center of the province, has been built around Bung Phlan Chai, a huge artificial lake. Roi Et town also has the famous Wat Buraphaphiram Temple with Thailand’s tallest image of Buddha.

Tips for Travelers

If you want to go from Chiang Mai to Roi Et, bus is a much better mode of transportation as opposed to train, because the closest train station from Roi Et, Khon Kaen, is about 120 kilometers far.

Roi Et bus station has very limited written English; be prepared to take the help of locals in figuring out the sign boards.
