Bangkok to Mukdahan by Bus

We provide you a range of buses from Bangkok to Mukdahan, from Thailand’s leading bus carrier Thai Sangaun Tour. We offer over 24 bus departures to Mukdahan. Maximum number of Bangkok-Mukdahan buses leave late in the evening, starting from 19.00 PM to 21.05 PM. However, if you prefer traveling in the morning, you can choose from any one of the several First-class buses that leave at 8.30 AM. Travel time from Bangkok to Mukdahan is between 9 hours 30 minutes and 10 hours 30 minutes.

Bangkok-Mukdahan bus fare ranges from 450 Baht to 567 Baht, depending on whether you choose economy class or first class and also based on your destination point.

Almost all Bangkok-Mukdahan buses depart from Morchit 2, Bangkok’s Northern Bus Terminal. This terminal is the busiest of all bus terminals in Bangkok and has air-conditioned buildings and food/snack eateries.

Arrival points in the Mukdahan province include Mukdahan Bus Terminal, the provincial bus terminal based a few kilometers from Mukdahan town. Buses also go to several other places in the province, including Ban Dong Man Bus Station, Kham Ahuan Bus Station, Ban Sam Kha Bus Station, Amphur Nikhom Kham Soi Bus Station, Tambon Kham Pa Lai Bus Station, and Ban Don Sawan Bus Station.

About Mukdahan

Mukdahan is one of the oldest provinces of Thailand, spread across a total area of over 4,300 kms. Mukdahan province is also a gateway to other Indochinese countries. The province shares a 70-km river Mekon River border with Laos. Mukdahan province is famous for Phu Phua Thoep National Park and Tantod waterfall. One of the famed items of Mukdahan province is its Mudmee silk.

Tips for Travelers

Since Mukdahan doesn’t have an airport, buses are the best most of travel from Bangkok to Mukdahan. Nearest airports and train stations are located at least 120 to 160 kilometers away from the Mukdahan town.

Be sure to be present at the bus terminal 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time to allow for a smooth check-in process.
