The Rongkluea market is one of the popular attractions of the town, offering wide choices of clothes (both new and secondhand), hand bags, teddy bears, etc. There’s also a Tesco, some 4 kilometers away from the town; the distance is not walkable and you need to take tuk-tuk.

The town is notorious for visa scams. Travelers should be cautious from suspicious visa providers. If you are travelling by bus, it is advisable to reach the bus station at least 30 minutes before your departure time to allow adequate time for the check-in formalities.
